Description: Agile5 Technologies is seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Specialist to provide essential technical support and maintain our IT infrastructure. As an IT Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for many technology-related issues, ensuring our employees can work efficiently and effectively. This role requires a broad understanding of hardware, software, networking basics, and excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. You will be responsible for resolving technical problems, maintaining IT assets, and contributing to the smooth operation of our technology environment.
IT Specialist Job Duties:
Provide first-level and sometimes second-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and standard software applications.
Install, configure, maintain, and repair computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Install, configure, and update operating systems (Windows, macOS), productivity software, and other business applications.
Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues, Wi-Fi problems, and network printer configurations.
Create, modify, and disable user accounts in relevant systems (e.g., Active Directory, cloud services).
Maintain an inventory of IT hardware and software, tracking deployments and ensuring accurate records.
Document common issues, solutions, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Educate users on basic security best practices and report any potential security incidents.
Work effectively with other IT team members and escalate complex issues to senior specialists or external vendors when necessary.
Utilize remote access tools to diagnose and resolve user issues efficiently.
Assist with the setup and support of company-issued mobile devices.
Provide basic IT training to new employees or when new systems are implemented.
Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices in IT support.
Security Clearance Requirements: Active Secret (S) required. Candidates must already possess this clearance level upon applying.
Experience Requirements: 10 years of recent relevant experience OR five years of which in Computer Science AND five years in a related field or 10 years in an engineering related discipline.
Education Requirements: Minimum bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in information security, cybersecurity, computer engineering, computer science, or closely related technical field; or the equivalent combination of experience and training related to task scope and objectives.
Desired Skills / Qualifications: Ideal candidates will possess a solid foundation in operating systems (Windows/macOS), hardware troubleshooting, and basic networking. Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for providing effective technical support. Experience with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and relevant certifications are a plus.
Location: Remote, local to Clarksburg, WV preferred.
Status: Full time
Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday
Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time. Also, must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
