Description: Agile5 Technologies is seeking a skilled and experienced Information System Security Engineer to capture and refine information security requirements and ensure their proper implementation throughout the system lifecycle. This role requires a professional with a strong background in architecting, designing, developing, and configuring secure systems, as well as a proven ability to implement security controls, manage configurations, and perform vulnerability scanning. The ideal candidate will be a proactive security engineer committed to building and maintaining a robust security posture.
Information System Security Engineer Job Duties:
Capture and refine information security operational and security requirements.
Ensure security requirements are properly addressed through purposeful architecting, design, development, and configuration.
Implement security controls, configuration changes, and software/hardware updates/patches.
Conduct vulnerability scanning to identify and address security weaknesses.
Secure system configurations to maintain compliance and a strong security posture.
Security Clearance Requirements: Active DoD Secret (S) required. Candidates must already possess this clearance level upon applying.
Experience Requirements: Requires seven (7) years of professional experience in capturing and refining information security requirements. This experience should include architecting, designing, developing, and configuring secure systems, as well as implementing security controls, managing configurations, and performing vulnerability scanning.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, or an equivalent technical degree from an accredited college or university.
Desired Skills / Qualifications: Experience in a secure, government-regulated environment is highly desirable. Certifications such as CCNA Security, CySA , GIC SP, GSEC, Security CE, and SSCP are preferred.
Location: On-Site in Washington, DC, Clarksburg, WV or Huntsville, AL.
Status: Full time
Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday
Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time. Also, must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
