Employment Type: 18-month Contract (W-2).
Compensation: Up to $51/hour (commensurate with experience)

This contract Reporting Analyst role focuses on delivering interactive, decision-ready dashboards that help operations leaders act on data with confidence. Success means translating wireframes and business questions into polished Looker experiences, validating data accuracy end-to-end, and iterating quickly based on stakeholder feedback. You will balance strong SQL-driven analysis with solid front-end skills to ensure dashboards are both correct and easy to use.
Responsibilities:
- Build interactive dashboards and reports using Looker (Core and Studio) and LookML to meet defined business needs.
- Partner with data owners and stakeholders to implement visualizations from provided wireframes and drive iteration through structured feedback loops.
- Design, document, test, and support internal visualization solutions that surface operational insights and enable action.
- Analyze existing and new datasets and related processes to assess data quality, value, and accuracy, and recommend improvements.
- Create wireframes and mockups for dashboards and reports to clarify functionality, align on requirements, and translate needs into build-ready designs.
- Develop and embed visualization components using HTML and support integration into internal pages or portals as needed.
- Work across multiple languages, including JavaScript, to enhance interactivity and presentation of analytics experiences.
- Apply agile data-wrangling approaches to extract, transform, and model data using SQL, R, or Python to produce data marts powering dashboards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by refining visualization standards, documentation, testing approaches, and delivery practices.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience building interactive dashboards using Looker (Core and Studio) and LookML.
- Strong SQL skills, including writing and tuning queries to support dashboards, data validation, and self-service analysis.
- Strong HTML skills for building, embedding, and presenting visualizations in internal environments.
- Experience translating wireframes and requirements into working dashboards and iterating through stakeholder feedback cycles.
- Ability to design, document, test, and support production visualization solutions with clear definitions and reliable outputs.
- Experience assessing data quality and validating accuracy through source-to-dashboard reconciliation and anomaly investigation.
- Experience creating dashboard wireframes/mockups that communicate layout, metrics, filters, and interactions.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript for enhancing visualization behavior or integrating analytics components.
- Hands-on experience extracting and transforming data using SQL, R, or Python to create curated datasets or data marts that drive reporting.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in analytics delivery, maintainability, and usability.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with BigQuery for querying, modeling, or performance optimization.
- Strong storytelling and visualization design skills, including selecting appropriate chart types and structuring dashboards for clarity and actionability.
- Experience building presentation-ready visualizations using tools such as Spotfire, BI platforms, Salesforce reporting, and/or open-source visualization libraries.
