Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Review, triage and investigate alerts to support incident detection.
- Escalate issues to Tier 2 analysts when appropriate.
- Perform initial analysis of security events to identify potential threats.
- Support SOC monitoring activities under supervision.
- Assist in documenting findings and maintaining SOC records.
- Apply basic technical knowledge to resolve straightforward problems.
- Participate in training and skill development to build cybersecurity expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and SOC operations.
- Familiarity with incident detection, alert triage and escalation processes.
- Ability to apply foundational technical knowledge to routine problems.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills under supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
- Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.
- Industry-recognized certifications.
- Light – 20 lbs. Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 10 lbs. A job is light if less lifting is involved but significant walking/standing is done or if done mostly sitting but requires push/pull on arm or leg controls.
