Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled SEO Team Lead to oversee and manage the performance of our SEO team. This person will lead strategy, execution, optimization, and reporting for a portfolio of client accounts across various industries. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership with hands-on expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, keyword research, and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Manage, mentor, and support a team of SEO Specialists.
- Oversee daily workflows, project timelines, task assignments, and quality control.
- Lead team meetings, training sessions, and performance improvement efforts.
- Collaborate closely with the COO to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
SEO Strategy & Execution
- Develop end-to-end SEO strategies for clients, including technical, on-site, and off-site components.
- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits, identifying issues and outlining actionable solutions.
- Oversee and guide keyword research, competitive analysis, topic clustering, and search intent mapping.
- Implement and supervise on-page optimizations, including metadata, headers, internal linking, and content hierarchy.
- Review and optimize client Google Business Profiles (GBP) for improved local visibility.
- Identify new opportunities for organic traffic growth through content expansion, FAQs, schema, and more.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics using tools like GA4, GSC, LocalFalcon, Ahrefs, and others.
- Prepare monthly reports and present insights, wins, and recommendations to clients.
- Continuously assess performance and adjust strategies based on trends, algorithm updates, and data.
Collaboration & Innovation
- Work cross-functionally with PPC, web development, and communication teams.
- Stay up-to-date on SEO best practices, algorithm changes, and industry news.
- Improve internal processes and contribute to the development of SOPs and SEO playbooks.
Qualifications
Required
- 5 years of hands-on SEO experience in an agency environment.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, site architecture, crawling/indexation, and Core Web Vitals.
- Proven track record of improving organic visibility and traffic for multiple clients.
- Proficient in SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to translate complex SEO concepts into clear, simple client communication.
Preferred
- Experience working with WordPress, HubSpot, Shopify, Webflow, or other CMS platforms.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS fundamentals as they relate to SEO.
- Experience developing SOPs, templates, and scalable processes.
- Familiarity with local SEO, GBP optimization, and service-area businesses.
