Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Homemaker, Personal Care Assistant, or an Home Health Aide to provide essential care and support to our clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities. This role involves working closely with patients and requires a keen ability to observe and report on patient conditions while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities vary depending on the role

Homemaker

  • Assist clients with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as: Light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, laundry, dishes, trash removal), Meal preparation and safe food storage, Grocery shopping and errands (as assigned), and Medication reminders (non-medical support only)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment.

PCA/HHA

  • Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior and communicate findings effectively.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and meal preparation.
  • Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Document care provided in accordance with established systems and procedures.

Experience

  • Previous experience in caregiving or assisted living environments is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with patient observation techniques and vital sign monitoring is a plus.
  • Understanding of dementia care principles is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.

Experience:

  • care taking : 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Home Health Aide Certificate (Preferred)
  • Driving License (Required)
