Community Engagement Coordinator - Part-Time -- (Advancement, Data and Outreach Focus)

This Community Engagement Coordinator supports fundraising operations, donor communications, outreach activities and engagement tracking. This position ensures accurate and timely processing of donations while assisting with community engagement efforts that increase visibility and donor and volunteer participation.

Success for this position is measured by accurate and timely donation processing, donor acknowledgement, database integrity and reliable support of campaigns and outreach efforts.

Duties amp; Responsibilities:

Advancement and Donor Support

• Process donations and maintain accurate donor records.

• Prepare and distribute acknowledgement letters and donor communications.

• Support recurring donor and Community Partner programs administration.

• Support external corporate social responsibility programs.

• Assist with internal and external event logistics and donor engagement activities.

• Assist with implementation of fundraising campaigns.

• Help coordinate third-party fundraisers and donor facing initiatives.

Data and Reporting Support:

• Maintain donor database accuracy and data integrity.

• Generate routine reports to support fundraising and engagement tracking.

• Assist with documentation for audits and compliance.

Marketing, Communication and Outreach:

• Support community outreach efforts, events and partner engagement.

• Represent the organization at speaking engagements and community leadership opportunities as applicable.

• Support Ambassador Program.

Donor and Volunteer Database Management:

• Support data integrity and cleaning.

• Support proper tracking, acknowledgement and stewardship of all donations.

• Primary point of responsibility for donation entry, acknowledgement processing and stewardship.

• Support timely donation processing and donor communications.

• Serve as secondary for pulling mailing lists for all mailings from the donor database.

Required Qualifications or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Associate’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business or related field; or at least two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, donor relations or community outreach in lieu of a degree.
• One year (1) of experience in progressively responsible experience in fundraising, donor relations or community outreach.
• Strong organizational and attention to details skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting fundraising or outreach efforts.

• Experience with donor and volunteer databases and reporting.

• Experience working collaboratively across teams.

Work Environment / Culture:

• Fast-paced nonprofit environment with significant internal team members and external community interaction.

• Requires occasional evening and weekend events.

• Requires occasional travel.

• Flexible schedule.
