Agensys is seeking a Network Administrator (Senior Cisco Network Engineer) to support the Air Force National Capital Region Information Technology Services (AFNCR ITS) program at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. This role supports mission-critical network operations for Air Force and DoD customers throughout the National Capital Region. The engineer will be responsible for network operations, troubleshooting, security compliance, routing and switching, encryption devices, and enterprise network modernization efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor enterprise networks for alarms, outages, performance issues, and operational events.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents or escalate as required.
- Coordinate with higher-tier support organizations including DISA and the 26th NOS.
- Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) as directed.
- Maintain security compliance through implementation of STIGs, software updates, IOS-XE upgrades, and security controls.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot TACLANE encryption devices supporting classified and unclassified networks.
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex routing, switching, security, and encryption issues.
- Perform packet capture analysis and root cause investigations.
- Create and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Participate in an on-call support rotation.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- 7-10 years of network engineering experience supporting large enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting DoD or defense contractor environments.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco DNAC deployment, management, and automation workflows.
- Expertise with Cisco ISE and wired/wireless 802.1X authentication.
- Experience configuring and supporting TACLANE / HAIPE encryption devices.
- Advanced routing and switching knowledge including BGP and OSPF.
- Strong understanding of DISA STIG compliance requirements.
- Experience troubleshooting complex network issues in mission-critical environments.
LCAT Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree 5 years of experience
- No Degree 8 years of experience
Required Certifications:
- Active Security CE (or equivalent DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification)
- CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security
Preferred Qualifications:
- IPv6 experience.
- Experience supporting classified or air-gapped environments (SIPRNet).
- Familiarity with Air Force, Pentagon, AFNCR, Joint Base Andrews, or Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling environments.
- Prior experience supporting enterprise Cisco network modernization initiatives.
