What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst (Consultant Track) position at Agency Brokerage?
We’re looking for a Financial Analyst with consultant aspirations to join our growing financial advisory practice serving independent insurance agencies. This role is designed for someone who has already spent meaningful time inside a mid‑to‑large insurance agency financial or strategy team and now wants to transition from internal analysis to external, client-facing consulting.
This role will start in a supporting analyst role, working closely with senior consultants, M&A advisors, and agency owners, but with a clearly defined pathway to grow into a lead consultant managing a portfolio of agency clients and consulting projects. We have established foundational service offerings and scope of service, but continually improving our tools, frameworks, and service delivery as the practice scales.

Experience
- 5 years of experience in finance, FP&A, or analytics
- Prior experience within a medium to large insurance agency or agency group strongly preferred
- Direct experience supporting owners, principals, or senior leadership teams
- Understanding of Agency Management System accounting and reporting functions
- Financial management designations such as CPA, CMA, NcIA, ACCA, strongly preferred, industry designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM, AAI, or others are considered for domain knowledge.

- Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and planning skills
- Experience building and interpreting multi-year financial models
- Comfort discussing financial performance and strategy with non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to synthesize data into clear insights and recommendations
- Ability to fully prepare and facilitate a strategic planning meeting with stakeholders
Visualization & Communication
- Proficiency in visualizing financial and business concepts (Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, BI tools, or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence designing, presenting, and explaining concepts to senior stakeholders

The Financial Analyst to Consultant Track position has the opportunity to earn bonuses that will increase over time and are expected to add 50 % to the base salary.
