SKILLED CONSTRUCTION LABORER
Contract Minimum: 4 Weeks
Contract Maximum: 8 weeks
WAGE DETERMINATION: BASED ON EXPERIENCE (Davis Bacon Non Union)
WORKING DAYS: M-F (8 HR DAYS)
Project location: N Bush Hwy Mesa AZ , Recreation site.
Project duration: 12/2025 - 04/2026
Overview
We are seeking a skilled construction laborer responsible for performing a wide range of tasks that require both physical strength and specialized construction knowledge.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining hand and power tools, such as jackhammers, saws, drills etc.
- Assisting with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding, barricades, and temporary structures.
- Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials like concrete, asphalt, and mortar, abc etc.
- Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials and equipment to designated areas.
- Excavating, grading, and preparing sites for construction, including trenching and backfilling.
- Following blueprints, plans, and instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople.
- Installing and removing forms for concrete pouring, placing rebar, and assisting with framing.
- Assisting trades such as carpenters, masons, electricians, and plumbers as needed.
- Cleaning and preparing construction sites to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in the use and maintenance of construction tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best safety practices.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to assist in multiple trades and adapt to changing project needs.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials.
- High school diploma or equivalent often preferred; vocational training or apprenticeships are a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 10 safety training) can be advantageous.
Work Environment
Outdoors at construction sites, often exposed to varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments. The role requires early starts, overtime, and occasional weekend work, depending on project deadlines.

· Ability to lift and carry materials and tools as needed (up to 50 lbs).
· Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate controls and monitor surroundings.
Reporting Structure
Construction Laborer reports to the Site Supervisor OR Superintendent.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
