Description: The Associate role at AGC Partners is a fast-paced, high-impact position designed for entrepreneurial individuals with a minimum of 2-3 years of tech banking experience who are ready to take on a pivotal role on active deal teams. Our Associates are core drivers of execution, responsible for leading day-to-day deal management, mentoring analysts, and owning key client interactions.
As an Associate, you will gain extensive transaction experience through our high-deal-flow model and work directly with Partners who have closed hundreds of tech transactions. High performers typically advance from Associate to Vice President within two years, with a clear path to Partner for those interested in building their own practice.
Responsibilities:
- Own execution: Manage live deals from pre-launch through close, including financial analysis, due diligence coordination, and buyer interactions.
- Be the quarterback: Drive internal and external workstreams, ensuring seamless coordination between clients, buyers, and the AGC team.
- Develop trusted client relationships: Lead calls with founders, CEOs, and CFOs throughout pre-marketing and diligence.
- Shape strategy: Participate in positioning discussions, draft key marketing materials, and analyze LOIs and term sheets.
- Mentor analysts: Guide the junior team made up of 21 Analysts, providing feedback, structure, and mentorship within AGC’s high-performing and supportive culture.

Requirements:
- Deep understanding of SaaS and broader software business models, including recurring revenue metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, churn), go-to-market structures, and valuation methodologies.
- Proven deal execution experience, from drafting confidential information memoranda and management presentations to coordinating diligence and managing buyer interactions.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including proficiency in operating models, payout models and funds flows.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with confidence in managing C-suite relationships and driving client discussions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to think strategically about positioning, value drivers, and potential buyer synergies.
- Collaborative team-first attitude with high integrity and a sense of humor
- Minimum 2 years experience in Investment Banking
