AGC Heat Transfer, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Alfa Laval, AB, is the leading OEM of sanitary plate heat exchangers in North America, manufacturing plate heat exchangers specifically designed for sanitary applications. AGC offers complete heat exchangers, services as well as upgrades to plate packs, gaskets and spares that fit multiple brands. In addition, AGC offers Field Leak Testing and inspections of plate heat exchangers that meet the 3-A sanitary standard.
AGC Heat Transfer consists of three manufacturing/service facilities (Bristow, VA, Fairview, OR & Pleasant Prairie, WI) with about 117 employees (70 OR / 20 VA / 20 other locations). Currently, most of the sales are in the US & Canada. AGC Heat Transfer has a strong engineering culture with a heavy emphasis on customer service and technical/consultative sales.

The Frame Team Lead is responsible for coordinating the daily department schedule with the overall production schedule. The Lead will be proficient in department procedures and manufacturing processes. Leadership attributes such as delegation, thorough communication with upper management and problem solving are key attributes of this role. The ability to step up and take leadership in situations when the supervisor is unavailable is the defining characteristic of the Production Team Lead.

Position Responsibilities
- Maintain daily production schedule in accordance with plant wide schedule.
- Stage job routers for each work center in accordance with department schedules.
- Communicate with planner and engineers about router discrepancies.
- Provide technical drawings and priorities in accordance with department build schedules.
- Read and follow BOM.
- Gather parts in preparation for building frames.
- Assist in cleaning frames when completed, measures completed frame for sign off from Department Supervisor.
- Close job routers once frames are completed.
- Keep the department organized, making sure parts are available for each frame.
- Assist teammates in problem solving issues with workflow.
- Perform QC tasks in coordination with department supervisor.
- Identify and write “Red Tags” for non-conforming parts.
- Actively participate in continuous safety and production improvement efforts within the plant.
- Participate in the Safety Committee.
- Coordinating with other departmental leads to ensure seamless transition of work from department to department.
- Assist in building crates using air compressor, staple gun and drill.
- Assist in building frames using crane, pallet jack and forklift.
- Responsible for updating weekly spreadsheets, keeping them updated daily.
- Assist in testing completed frames.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Lead team in the absence of Shop Manager, this would include participating in Production Meetings.
- Any other duties assigned.

- Experience required in Manufacturing 2 years.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Post High School technical or other education preferred.
- Ability to delegate tasks throughout the team.
- Competency on windows-based computers (excel, teams, outlook).
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and reading of diagrams.
- Proficiency in use of measuring equipment
- Ability to perform QC verification in accordance with company SOP
- Timely and consistent attendance.
- Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack and crane.
- Previous manufacturing experience is a must
- Full Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)
- $27.50 - $30.00
