Whiskey Yard is building a standards-driven, hospitality-first culinary team, and we're looking for individuals who believe this industry is about more than just showing up — it's about doing something special.
This is a rare opportunity to work directly under two chefs with Michelin-level experience and leadership backgrounds, while being part of a concept rooted in hospitality, craft, and purpose.
Our Culinary Leadership
Executive Chef Roberto Castañeda
With over 30 years of international culinary experience, Executive Chef Roberto Castañeda has held leadership roles in Michelin-recognized kitchens and worked alongside Michelin-starred chefs, including his time with José Andrés and The Bazaar group. He is known for building strong kitchen systems, mentoring teams, and leading with integrity and discipline.
Chef Jon Sauer
Chef Jon Sauer is a CIA-trained chef with experience in Michelin Bib Gourmand–recognized kitchens and hyper-seasonal, farm-to-table restaurants. His approach emphasizes sustainability, technique, local sourcing, and thoughtful execution — always with respect for the ingredient and the guest.
Together, they are creating a kitchen culture centered on craft, discipline, hospitality, and pride in the work.

What You'll Be Doing
(Responsibilities vary by role)
- Executing prep and service with consistency and care
- Supporting pantry, line, expo, and dish with urgency and respect
- Maintaining clean, organized, and professional workspaces
- Communicating clearly and working as a team
- Following systems and standards designed to support excellence
What We're Looking For
- Kitchen experience preferred (entry-level welcome for dishwasher and prep)
- Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
- Coachable, positive attitude
- Team-first mindset — hospitality starts behind the scenes

Schedule
- Brunch: Saturdays & Sundays
- Dinner: Weekdays & weekends
