Massage TherapistPosition Overview
Agave Healing Arts LLC is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and reliable Massage Therapist to join our growing wellness practice at Studio AHA, located in Bell Rock Plaza at 90 Bell Rock Plaza, Suite 100A, Sedona, Arizona.
We provide therapeutic massage and integrative wellness services to both local residents and visitors seeking high-quality, heart-centered care. We are looking for a practitioner who is passionate about helping others, committed to professional growth, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative healing environment.
This position currently offers work on Thursdays and Sundays, with opportunities for growth as the practice expands.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional therapeutic massage services to local residents and travelers.
- Conduct client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Apply appropriate massage techniques based on client needs and treatment goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely client documentation.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients and other healthcare providers when appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment.
- Uphold all ethical, professional, and licensing standards.
Veteran Care Opportunities
Agave Healing Arts is an approved provider for veterans receiving care through community care programs. We are seeking one massage therapist who may eventually provide massage therapy services for veterans.
Please note that working with veteran referrals requires a credentialing process that typically takes 90 days or longer after obtaining an NPI number. Credentialing requirements include:
- Obtaining an individual NPI (National Provider Identifier)
- Creating and maintaining a current CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare) profile
- Submitting required credentialing documentation
- Completing payer enrollment and approval processes
Assistance and guidance will be provided throughout the credentialing process for qualified candidates interested in serving veterans.
QualificationsRequired
- Current Arizona Massage Therapy License in good standing
- Professional liability insurance
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic bodywork
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage appointments professionally
- Commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered care
Preferred
- Experience with therapeutic, medical, or pain-relief focused massage
- Training in craniosacral therapy, myofascial techniques, Shiatsu, acupressure, or other specialized modalities
- Experience working with chronic pain, stress-related conditions, or trauma-informed care
- Familiarity with healthcare documentation and medical terminology
Compensation
Compensation structure will be discussed with qualified candidates based on experience, credentials, and scope of practice.
