Dental Assistant

Continuing Education trainings to improve and hone skills

Core Competencies:

Minimum of 1 year dental assisting experience

CPR Certification

Prior knowledge of Open Dental software is a plus, but not required as we will provide training

Essential Functions:

• Excellent communication skills
• Impeccable organization for inventory control
• A willingness to be flexible and accommodating for patients
• Placement, finishing and polishing of composite and intermediate restoration
• Fabrication of temporary crowns and cementation.
• Coronal Polishing
• - Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• - Take digital dental x-rays-
• Prepare materials for impressions and restorations- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring molds and fabricating temporary crowns
• - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Epic- Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient billing
• Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent
• - Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
• - X-ray certification
• - Knowledge of dental/medical coding and billing procedures
• - Familiarity with computerized assisted design (CAD) software for dental prosthetics is a plus
• - Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
