Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Agape Community Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to providing comprehensive behavioral health services. This role focuses on clinical duties (60%) and supervision (40%) of postdoctoral fellows, with telehealth services for complex patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, a passion for mentorship, and a commitment to improving mental health outcomes in underserved populations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision (40%):
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to postdoctoral fellows, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and best practices in clinical psychology.
  • Conduct regular supervision meetings, offering feedback on clinical cases, treatment planning, and professional development.
  • Assist fellows in developing their clinical skills, including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention strategies for complex cases.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of fellows, providing guidance and support to enhance their competencies and confidence in clinical practice.
  • Collaborate with the training director to develop and implement training curricula and workshops for fellows.
Clinical Duties (60%):
  • Conduct telehealth assessments and therapy sessions for complex patients, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to individual needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients, considering their unique circumstances and goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical activities, including progress notes and treatment plans, in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care, treatment progress, and coordination of services.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of clinical psychology and behavioral health, integrating new knowledge into practice.
Post Doctoral Fellow Onboarding, Recruitment, and Orientation:
  • Recruitment typically lasts about 6 weeks, occurring in January through early February.
  • Start date is typically in early to mid-September; internships are not standardized on start/end dates, so flexibility with the start date is required.
  • Orientation is time-intensive, approximately two weeks.
  • During recruitment and orientation, allocate a greater portion of time to supervision activities to support trainees and program development.
  • After onboarding, supervision requirements will include roughly 1 hour of supervision meetings weekly, signing progress notes, and PRN (as-needed) consultations.
  • Supervision will be conducted in a hybrid model, combining both virtual and in-person sessions as appropriate.
Work Environment:
  • This position a hybrid model (in-person and remote)
  • Flexible scheduling options are available to accommodate the part-time nature of the role.
Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a psychologist in Florida.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience is recommended; telehealth experience preferred, with a focus on complex cases.
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring early-career psychologists or trainees is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
  • Commitment to serving underserved communities and promoting health equity.
  • Preferred: Experience in primary care settings.
