Agape Child Care is seeking a motivated and organized Educational Coordinator to oversee curriculum implementation, classroom support, and educational quality across our childcare program. The Educational Coordinator works closely with our teachers and Director to ensure classrooms provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for all children.
This position plays a key role in maintaining educational standards, supporting teacher development, and ensuring compliance with state childcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans
- Monitor classroom environments to ensure educational quality and active supervision
- Assist in developing engaging learning activities for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
- Provide coaching and support to teachers to strengthen classroom management and instructional practices
- Ensure classrooms meet company, licensing and regulatory standards (Internal & DCF compliance)
- Help prepare classrooms for inspections and quality improvement programs
- Maintain educational materials and classroom supplies
- Observe classrooms and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff
- Assist with staff training and onboarding related to curriculum and child development
- Support administration with program development and educational initiatives
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and leadership to promote positive child development
Qualifications
- Experience working in a childcare, preschool, or early learning environment
- Knowledge of early childhood development and classroom management
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to mentor and support teaching staff
- Familiarity with childcare licensing standards and regulations preferred
- DCF Training (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in curriculum planning or educational leadership
- Experience working with preschool or VPK programs
