Job Description
The Yard Laborer & Driver is responsible for flexing into different roles around the yard. Primary responsibilities include installing cardboard bulkhead prior to loading, operating yard trucks (Hostler or Yard Jockey), and ensure the general upkeep of facility grounds during and after loading operations each day. Future opportunity to be trained to operate loading controls. Employees will be expected to follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
This is a full-time position with full benefits and consistent overtime. Start by 7:00am. Shift ends when all trucks are unloaded, typically around 3:30pm-4:00pm. Monday through Friday, occasional weekend hours.
Job Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Hostler/yard jockey experience a plus.
- Ability to be trained to back yard trucks and trailers into position.
- Ability to learn all safety practices and adhere to facility safety policies and procedures.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with drug free workplace policy.
- Show a willingness to cross-train on additional functions at the facility.
- Dependable to work full time hours with interest in overtime hours/overtime pay.
- Knowledge of computers and basic data entry skills.
- Good interpersonal communication skills to work as part of a small team.
- Strong work ethic, dependable for early start time, able to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment with consistent attendance.
- Must be able to physically climb up and down transloading equipment and ladders safely.
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb, and maintain balance throughout the day.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to carry fifty (50) pounds.

Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour depending on experience
- Full-time with overtime consistently available. Overtime pay after 40 hours worked/week.
