What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Maintenance Worker position at Ag-Power, Inc.?
Department: Service
Reports to: Store Manager or Service Manager
Supervises: None
Purpose:
The job of General Maintenance employee was established for the purpose of providing services as needed and/or assigned; assisting in a wide variety of maintenance activities; addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns; assisting skilled trades; and ensuring that tools, materials, buildings and vehicles are maintained in good working order are available at job sites.
Responsibilities:
o Assists skilled technicians with projects (e.g. transporting and/or securing materials, completing specific tasks, etc.)
o Cleans store buildings and ground areas as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of providing an effective working environment, preventing damage and limiting liability exposure
o Performs wide variety of general and semiskilled maintenance activities (e.g. painting, cleaning, organizing)
o Maintains the yard ensuring it is clean, well-organized and stock is appropriately ready for sales
o Any other duties as assigned
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
o Experience in an agricultural or turf related role preferred
o Excellent customer relationship skills
o Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
o Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
o Adhering to safety practices
o High School Diploma or equivalent experience
