Florida Ag Research is part of a nationwide group of agricultural research centers dedicated to helping farmers and agricultural product companies improve crops and production methods. We’re looking for a Research Technician to join our team in Thonotosassa, FL. What You’ll Do
- Collect field trial data on crop growth, plant health, and insect activity
- Record observations on plant development and product performance
- Assist with applying agricultural products during studies
- Enter and manage research data in our study database
- Support field and greenhouse activities that keep trials on track
- Contribute to projects under the guidance of a biologist
What We’re Looking For
- An Bachelor’s degree in science or related field, OR equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience working in agriculture fields, greenhouses, or labs
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good time management
- A dependable team player who can also work independently
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a busy research environment
- Application experience highly desired
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing Personal Protective Equipment
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs for 4–6 hours per day
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
