Are you passionate about animal care, farm safety, and making a real impact on swine health? PIPESTONE is seeking a Swine Health Auditor to support our farms across Iowa and Missouri. This is a field-based role with purpose: protecting herd health, improving farm safety, and ensuring the highest level of animal welfare.
What You'll Do
- Help protect farms from disease through daily biosecurity checks
- Conduct safety audits of barn personnel
- Complete animal welfare audits at farm sites
- Inspect all structural areas for proper biosecurity
- Verify interior and exterior farm areas meet biosecurity standards (including attic audits, chute management, grounds checks)
- Check facilities for structural issues like back drafts
- Train barn staff on biosecurity, safety, and animal welfare best practices
- Perform truck wash and trailer audits
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ag experience is a plus - but not required! We train the right people.
Work Environment
- Overnight travel required
- On-farm agricultural swine environment
- Hearing protection at times
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and in the elements
Physical Requirements
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling
- Occasional lifting/pulling up to 50 lbs
Additional Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
