A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, animal science, plant science, pest management, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

The training will be scheduled by the Office of Training and Development within the first 90 days of appointment. Selectees may be required to successfully complete the
Supervisory Probationary Period: You may be required to serve an 18 month probationary period upon appointment.
Security Clearance: You may be required to obtain a Secret or higher level clearance for this position.

- Providing overall program guidance and leadership to CBP, Field Operations, Agriculture Programs staff and other components with responsibility for the development drafting, and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines required to accomplish overall or specialized needs of border security concerning biological and agricultural matters.
- Developing and implementing new operational program activities or enhancements.
- Participating in establishing and/or recommending goals and objectives for the DHS agriculture inspection and compliance programs; developing overall operational plans; instituting and monitoring performance measures and other performance evaluation-related metrics; and reporting on program activities.
