Special Education Case Manager:
Located in Newfane, Vermont, Kindle Farm School is a therapeutic, independent day school serving male identifying students grades 2-12. The school provides a highly individualized, hands-on, and relationship-based educational environment for students who have not thrived in traditional school settings due to social, emotional, behavioral, or learning challenges.
Kindle Farm offers a holistic approach that integrates academics, vocational education, therapeutic supports, and experiential learning across a rich milieu that includes classrooms, forests, workshops, and working farms. The school day may include carpentry, mechanics, sustainable agriculture, wilderness skills, and arts - all designed to promote student growth through authentic, meaningful engagement.
A dedicated individual who has a background in holistic education and inclusion. The individual should have a strong background working with students who have a variety of diagnoses within the Special Education system. The candidate should have a commitment to working with students who struggle with behavior in school settings as a team member.
A Special Educator is a dedicated individual who is either licensed or provisionally licensed by the Vermont Agency of Education. This Position is supervised by the School Director or Lead Special Educator.

Responsibilities include:
- Working with all teachers and 1:1 paraprofessionals to ensure that proper IEP accommodations are made in the classrooms and to aid in the development of the appropriate curriculum.
- Recommending present levels, goals, objectives, and accommodations for IEP and Evaluation meetings.
- Working with sending schools to meet students' individual needs and to plan for the eventual transition to sending district or adult life.
- Constructing specific targeted small group lessons for students.
- Coordinating and Completing District Medicaid Logs?
- Maintaining systems for IEP, evaluation, ratio change, ESY meetings, and follow-through
- Summer work to prepare for the upcoming year
- Summer curriculum work with teams for Advisory, Transition and Proficiency-Based Grading
- Participating in a variety of team meetings including Academic Admin, Special Ed, and Program Meetings.
- Coordinating outside providers such as Speech-Language Providers and Occupational Therapists
- Working with the Academic Director to coordinate and support state assessments.
- Reviewing and editing activity logs, behavior reports, and quarterly grade reports.
- Position supervised by School Director or Lead Special Educator.
