The Grain Elevator Superintendent is responsible for coordinating grain receiving, storage, conditioning, and inventory control while ensuring strong safety compliance, operational efficiency, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily grain elevator operations including receiving, shipping, drying, conditioning, and grain grading
- Lead and support team members while promoting a strong safety culture and OSHA-compliant work environment
- Coordinate outbound grain logistics
- Maintain accurate grain inventory management and quality control standards
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot grain elevator equipment and systems
- Perform and oversee preventative maintenance and minor mechanical repairs
- Ensure facility cleanliness, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance
- Assist with operational planning during harvest and peak seasons
- Experience in grain elevator operations, agriculture, manufacturing, or industrial operations preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work at heights (4-25 feet) and climb ladders regularly
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
