Our Macon, Georgia farm is the most advanced greenhouse in the state, delivering fresh, locally grown leafy greens to Georgians. Spanning nearly 480,000 square feet, this facility will produce approximately 6 million pounds of leafy greens annually.

Specifically, you will:
- Effectively and efficiently manage Production processes to ensure the quality of our product, consistency maintaining SQF requirements
- Collect routine EMP samples (water samples, swabs, product samples and media samples)
- Train and verify effectiveness of relevant food safety & quality programs to operators and leadership
- Oversee the sites pest control management system and conduct regular reviews of the system
- Lead site audits and inspections, both external (ex. SQF) and internal
- Support the farms in implementation of food safety regulations and policies
- Perform site GMP inspections and perform required drills & exercises
- Standardize best practices and creates forms necessary to collect KPIs
- Verify and review completion of food safety records
- Manage the farm's food safety plan
- Have a willingness and desire to assist in unrelated and/or unassigned tasks to ensure the effective operation of the Greenhouse
- Perform risk assessments and advise leadership on appropriate recommendations
- Lead corrective action efforts in identifying RCA and effectively implementing CAPA's
- Work cross functionally to safely implement new processes, programs and equipment
- Build and support a strong food safety culture
- Complete other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate:
- Have a 4-year degree in related discipline (Agriculture, food safety, food science, etc
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing food safety & quality programs
- Minimum 3 years of experience directly managing teams
- Have excellent written and verbal communication and can create documents such as standard operating procedures, safety rules label mixing instructions
- Strong knowledge in FDA Food Safety regulations and GFSI certifications (ex. SQF)
- Exhibit excellent critical thinking skills, leadership skills, lead by example
- Have the ability to meet the physical requirements of the job including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Be a self-starter and a problem solver with strong relationship building and communication skills
- Experience building or using digital record keeping platforms is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to work weekends and nights as needed to support effective implementation of FSQ programs
