The Ideal Candidate
- 3-5 years of commercial or agricultural lending experience
- Expertise in North Dakota agricultural markets
- Proven success with large-scale crop and livestock producers, agribusiness operations, or complex farm financing structures
- Experience managing significant agricultural loan portfolios in rural financial institutions
- Strong analytical skills and ability to structure creative, tailored lending solutions
- Relationship-focused, results-driven, autonomous, and ready to lead
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry certification preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Originate, Manage, and Supervise Loans: Take ownership of North Star's commercial loan portfolio, maintaining and improving asset quality while developing new and existing business relationships
- Business Development: Grow your portfolio by cultivating high-value agricultural and commercial clients in the Minot area
- Financial Analysis & Structuring: Review business financials, assess risk, and structure loans that maximize client success and portfolio performance
- Portfolio Oversight & Compliance: Monitor assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation
- Member & Community Engagement: Provide strategic guidance to members and represent North Star in industry and local events to strengthen relationships and lending opportunities
