General Statement
Montana State University seeks qualified individuals to provide non-tenurable level instruction and/or related functions. Instructors are needed to teach classes depending upon need and available funding.
Applications are accepted on a continual basis (unless otherwise indicated) and will be maintained in pool for two years. After two years, candidates will be notified to re-submit materials for continued consideration.
The department or program search committees or hiring authority will review and evaluate the submitted application materials. Applicants will be notified if their application is being retained in the non-tenure track faculty hiring pool.
Appointments are on a part-time basis and vary in duration, a couple weeks, a semester or an academic year, depending on the specific needs of the department/program. Salary is dependent on number of courses taught and duration.
We seek individuals who work professionally and effectively with all individuals, possess effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to contribute positively to the academic success of the students and the mission of Montana State University.

The Program
The Department
The Department of Agricultural & Technology Education is housed within the College of Agriculture and has 6 faculty/staff members. The Department is dedicated to serving the needs of all students and stakeholders through a dynamic and comprehensive program of rural leadership, technological advancement, and proven scientific and educational practices. The program is grounded in basic and applied research aimed at improving professional and technical skills through formal and non-formal education in agriculture and industrial technology. The Department offers two degree programs with two major options in each program: Agricultural Education; Broadfield Teaching or Communications, Leadership and Extension. Applied Technology Management; Broadfield Teaching or Industry Option, as well as a teaching minor in Technology Education. The Department offers both an on-campus and online Master's degree.

As the foundation of the land grant mission at Montana State University, the College of Agriculture and the Montana Agricultural Experiment Station provide instruction in traditional and innovative degree programs and conduct research on old and new challenges for Montana's agricultural community. Duties and Responsibilities
- Teaching on-campus or online courses.
- Advising, evaluating and assisting students.
- Participating in Departmental faculty meetings and other Departmental functions.
Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
- BS Degree in Agricultural Education, Technology Education, or other field relevant to the position.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
- MS Degree.
- Prior teaching experience directly related to the position for which you are applying.
- Experience teaching face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses using a Learning Management System.
- Demonstrated experience teaching interdisciplinary courses.
- Demonstrated knowledge of college student development.

- Have the ability to work effectively with a wide range of student populations.
