Duties:
- Safely operate various types of trucks, including belt trailers, tankers, and flatbed.
- Drive assigned routes and ensure timely delivery of agricultural products.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate with dispatchers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise.
Skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role.
- Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate loading equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform loading/unloading tasks.
Benefits do not come out of your check; base pay is $18.50 per hour, estimated $2.30 per hour pay really putting you at $20.80 per hour. Pay based on the percentage of load.
