We're seeking an experienced Supervisor, Quality Control Analytical Chemistry Laboratory to lead our analytical chemistry team and help ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of the products we manufacture. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, solving technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement in a regulated laboratory environment.
What You'll Do
As the QC Analytical Chemistry Laboratory Supervisor, you will:
- Lead and develop a team of analytical chemists supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Review analytical data and laboratory documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Support method development, method validation, and laboratory investigations.
- Ensure laboratory activities comply with cGMP, GDP, GLP, FDA, USP, ICH, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate instrument qualification, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in client interactions, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- 5–7 years of pharmaceutical Quality Control laboratory experience (pharmaceutical manufacturing environment strongly preferred).
- Extensive hands-on experience with HPLC and other analytical instrumentation.
- Experience with analytical method development and validation.
- Strong understanding of cGMP, GDP, and pharmaceutical laboratory compliance.
- Experience reviewing analytical data and laboratory quality documentation.
- Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).
- Experience performing routine Quality Control analytical testing.
- Experience with ELISA and biologics testing is highly desirable.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
