Afterschool Enrichment Solutions is seeking a dynamic and reliable Chess Instructor to lead after school programs for elementary students in the Chelsea, MI 48118 area.
Since 2001, we've provided high-quality enrichment classes to thousands of schools and over 30,000 students nationwide.
About the Role: You'll be the spark that helps students discover the fun and strategy of chess! We provide user-friendly lesson plans and all necessary materials to guide you through each class.
Specific Requirements:
- You must have solid knowledge of chess fundamentals (e.g., piece value, castling, pawn promotion, checkmating patterns).
- Must have experience working with children in a group setting
Expectations:
- Must arrive to class at least 15-minutes prior to start
- Payments are issued on a monthly basis, following month of service, i.e. October classes are issued in November, on or before the 21st of the month
- Must communicate behavioral concerns to scheduling manager
- Must clear a background check
- Must complete a W-9, this is a contract position
- All materials needed for class will be available on-site
- Programs are held at an elementary school, after regular school hours
Details:
- Pay: $40-$60 per one-hour class taught.
- Schedule: One class per day, normally after school hours. You must be available for all scheduled class dates.
- Type: This is a contract position (W9). Payments are issued monthly for the previous month's classes.
