Role Description
The Youth Support Specialist is a full-time on-site role located in Dallas, TX. The specialist will work directly with unsheltered and at-risk youth, providing guidance and support to encourage their personal and academic growth. Responsibilities include building trusting relationships with youth, assisting with resource access, mentoring, facilitating life skills workshops, and collaborating with partners to meet the immediate needs of participants. The role requires active communication with other team members, coordination of services, and maintaining accurate documentation of interactions and progress.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, mentorship, and relationship-building skills to effectively support and guide youth
- Knowledge in social services, case management, and resource navigation
- Effective communication and organizational skills, including the ability to document and track progress
- Problem-solving and crisis intervention abilities are essential
