Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Site Program Coordinator to support the successful execution of our Bronx-based after-school program serving grades K–8. Reporting directly to the Program Director, the Site Program Coordinator will oversee day-to-day site operations, supervise program staff on the ground, ensure compliance with all applicable state and city agency standards, and help drive measurable outcomes for students. The ideal candidate combines organizational acumen with cultural competence and brings a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to ensuring students thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily site operations, including attendance, scheduling, classroom transitions, and program logistics.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate instructors, group leaders, and support staff, fostering a culture of professionalism and accountability.
- Ensure full compliance with program and funder guidelines, DOE protocols, and organizational standards, including safety, reporting, and contractual obligations.
- Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of program activities across academic, arts, STEAM, and athletic disciplines.
- Collect, track, and report attendance and program data, contributing to both quantitative and qualitative evaluation of outcomes.
- Serve as the first point of contact for families on site, addressing daily inquiries and cultivating strong school and community relationships.
- Partner with the Program Director to prepare for site visits, audits, and performance evaluations.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents in alignment with safety protocols and organizational procedures.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Some college;
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in youth development, after-school programming, or nonprofit program coordination.
- Familiarity with DYCD compliance and reporting requirements strongly preferred.
- Strong background in staff supervision, coaching, and team-building.
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
