Site Director – After 3 Program
The Site Director provides hands-on leadership for a campus-based afterschool program, overseeing daily operations, staff supervision, and student safety. This role ensures compliance with licensing standards, delivers a high-quality student experience, and builds strong partnerships with school staff, families, and the After 3 team. Key Responsibilities
- Program Operations & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility; conduct daily walkthroughs; report maintenance and safety needs promptly.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate enrollment, attendance, staff files, drill logs, medical plans, and training records; ensure licensing requirements are met.
- Staff Leadership: Manage staffing schedules, supervise engagement, monitor ratios, conduct performance observations, and address performance or compliance issues.
- Communication & Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison with school administrators, families, and staff; respond to communications and report incidents within required timelines.
- Curriculum & Scheduling: Oversee curriculum implementation, adjust schedules as needed, and ensure accommodations for students with special needs.
- Culture & Values: Model and promote the I-CARE core values while fostering a positive, inclusive team environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–3 years of experience in youth development or afterschool programming
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a licensed childcare or afterschool setting
- Experience managing 10 staff and programs serving 200 students
- Knowledge of Texas Child Care Minimum Standards; ability to qualify as a Texas Child Care Director (§744.1015)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid certified (or obtain within 30 days); background check required
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to meet program needs
- Successful completion of After 3 Site Director training
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, approximately 2:00–6:00/6:30 PM
- Additional availability for early dismissals, meetings, trainings, and special events
- Follows HISD/SBISD school calendar; no summer hours
