Mechanical Designer – Inventor/AutoCAD
We are seeking a Mechanical Designer – Inventor / AutoCAD to become a part of our team! You will prepare detailed working diagrams of equipment and engineered systems as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency within an excellent working environment.
Responsibilities:
• Successful candidate must be flexible and able to perform a broad variety of tasks related to project design, sales drawings, and engineering design in a team driven environment.
• Design of new systems and projects in AutoCAD and Inventor 3D environment, minimum of 5 years of experience. Strong background in AutoCAD Mechanical is also required.
• System design drawings including structural steel, conveyors, furnaces, boilers, ductwork, piping, electrical schematics, and P & ID drawing.
• Provide assembly and detail drawings as required for shop fabrication.
• Interface with customers and engineers to coordinate equipment and system requirements.
• Coordinate designs with AFS fabrication shop personnel.
• Occasional travel to job sites for field coordination of system measurements.
• Prepare diagrams and drafts for mechanical devices and machines.
• Review and modify designs to reduce production deficiencies.
• Provide timely updates for drawing completion and workload.
• Coordinate with other colleagues regarding complex diagrams and design standards.
Qualifications:
• Mechanical Designer - 5 -10 years’ experience
• Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD Mechanical - minimum 5 years’ experience
• Strong detailing background in structural steel, plate, welding, and fabricating.
• Working knowledge with steam boilers, hot water boilers, furnace design and related piping systems a plus.
• Proficiency in Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, Vault, and Microsoft Office products.
• Working knowledge in AutoCAD Electrical is a plus.
