Afrim's Sports Field/Office Host

Afrim’s Sports – ADK Dome (Queensbury, NY)

Afrim’s Sports is seeking dependable, energetic, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Hosts at the ADK Dome location. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming and organized experience for all athletes, families, and guests visiting our facility.

The Host serves as the main point of contact at the front desk while also supporting daily facility operations. We are looking for team members who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with people, and are comfortable multitasking.

This is a part-time position with increased scheduling needs during our busy summer and winter seasons. Candidates must be available to work evenings and weekends, especially during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the facility while ensuring readiness for daily operations
• Greet families and guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer phones, respond to customer inquiries, and provide program information
• Process registrations, payments, and operate the POS/cash register system
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and common areas
• Stock concession items and assist customers as needed
• Support general facility operations, including activity transitions and equipment movement
• Assist with occasional field maintenance/raking during softball tournaments
• Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced sports environment
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older (due to beer sales)
• Strong customer service and communication skills preferred
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional attitude
• Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Basic computer and POS system experience preferred
• Willingness to learn — training will be provided
• Availability for evening and weekend shifts required

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods may be required
• Occasional lifting and movement of equipment
• Ability to assist with field maintenance and tournament setup when needed

Compensation & Benefits

• $16.00–$17.00 per hour, based on experience
