What are the responsibilities and job description for the ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR position at AFRC Non-ART Locations?
This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-6600 - Armament Work Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

JOB ELEMENTS: Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/Equal Employment Treatment.
2. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures. Knowledge and practical application of MIS (e.g. CAS, TMRS, MC2K, CAMS) programs. Knowledge of aircraft flying hours and maintenance and munitions planning cycles, documentation, and communication necessary to execute plans.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of assigned weapon systems including airframes, munitions systems, and the Interrelationships among systems and munitions power plants, needed to make various operational checks and verify established performance limits.
4. Ability to read and interpret instructions, specifications, blueprints, and technical orders, and to evaluate compliance, adequacy of repair actions, and proper installation of parts and modifications.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to execute disaster control and emergency war order/contingency plans.
6. Skill in directing munitions generation/evacuation processes.
OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS:
1. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA). The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
2. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
3. This is a testing designated position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing.
4. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
5. May be required to fly in commercial and military aircraft to perform temporary/permanent duty assignments.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned. The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license may be required for the position.
FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Heavy lifting (45-79 pounds). Moderate carrying (15-44 lbs.). Hours of straight pulling are 1 hour per week. Hours of pushing are 1 hour per week. Reaching above shoulder. Use of fingers. Both hands required. Hours of walking are 4 hours per week. Hours of standing are 10 hours per week. Hours of crawling are 1 hour per week. Hours of kneeling are 1 hour per week. Hours of repeated bending are 3 hours per week. Climbing, use of legs and arms. Both legs required. Operation of cranes, trucks, tractors, or motor vehicles may be required. Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously. Near vision correctable at 13 inches to inches to Jaeger 1 to 4. Far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and 20/40 in the other. Both eyes required. Depth perception. Ability to distinguish basic colors. Hearing (without aid).

Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Munitions Flight Supervisor, exercising technical and administrative supervision over subordinate employees engaged in accomplishing a variety of munitions maintenance and equipment duties in an integrated environment. In addition, trains reservists in the duties and responsibilities set forth herein. Position functions as the primary supervisor.Duties:
