- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. - Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation
- 10 years of professional job related work experience, 5 years management experience
- 10 years of actuarial work experience
- Extensive experience in modeling and at least two of the following actuarial functions: product development, financial reporting, reinsurance, hedging, ALM, and capital management
- Experience working with Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet and Capital Solvency Return reporting
- Leads the model development, implementation, process automation, design, and documentation to support pricing, valuation, and other key actuarial functions
- Leads the development for tools and analytics to support hedging and ALM strategy
- Partners with the Pricing Actuary to support reinsurance pricing design and supporting analytics
- Partners with the Valuation Actuary to support valuation processes, and regulatory and ad hoc stress testing for analysis and reporting
- Supports the model owner for model risk management, model documentation and model validation
- Supports the Chief Actuary developing materials to be presented at Aflac Re's board committee meetings
- Supports the Chief Actuary to serve as liaison with other key functions or represents Aflac Re at global committees if needed
- Provides support to Aflac Inc. or its affiliates (other than Aflac Re Bermuda) as requested from time to time
