Job Description:
Summary
This Production Group position executes procedures as they relate to preparation of material for production processing.
Responsibilities
- Perform work as directed by the Material Prep Supervisor.
- Condition material surfaces by abrasive blasting, grinding, sanding, polishing and cleaning operations.
- Apply/remove protective coverings and masking from stainless steel sheet, threads and other features used to mitigate damage during process operations or used for preservation of surface conditions.
- Assist with loading and removal of materials and subassemblies from process operation staging areas.
- Package materials, subassemblies and assemblies for local and/or long distance shipment by palletization, banding, wrapping or other methods.
- Load and unload local and long distance carriers.
- Clean, organize and maintain shop and office spaces.
- Assist with facility maintenance and janitorial activities.
- Other duties as required.
