Job Description:
Summary
This Engineering and Quality Group position executes procedures as they relate to development, control and distribution of shop drawings.
Responsibilities
- Work with Project Engineer, develop 3D models of designed products and 2D shop drawings for submittal to customer.
- Utilize CAD software tools for 3D modeling and 2D detailing to create high quality and error free project specific product details for production purposes and customer use in the field.
- Meet drawing submittal deadlines as determined by company.
- High attention to detail when developing 2D Shop Drawings.
- Electronic verification of product performance characteristics.
- Produce a bill of materials with valid ASTM references for procurement purposes.
- Communicate and interact with internal departments regarding design, fabrication, quality, costs and material availability.
- QC review of shop drawings completed by others.
- Intuitive interpretation of contract plans and specifications.
- Interpreting the design deliverable from the engineer and designing within those constraints.
- Create drawings for special projects (e.g. special equipment, facility renovation, etc).
- Other duties as necessary.
