Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundsman/Climber to join our team. This role is essential for supporting tree care operations, including tree trimming and maintenance, while ensuring safety and efficiency on the job site. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Tree care, with a willingness to grow within the industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in tree care operations, including brush dragging to the chipper or dump trailer, low branch trimming, pruning, and removal of trees as needed.
- Eventually being able to operate aerial lifts safely and efficiently to access high branches and perform necessary tasks.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to execute Tree projects effectively.
- Utilize google maps technology to assist in planning and executing tree care strategies.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while performing duties on-site.
- Assure all equipment and saws are put back in their correct place of storage.
Skills
- Ability to operate a chainsaw safely and efficiently.
- Experience with tree trimming and care techniques is preferred.
- Familiarity with Tree maintenance practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating an aerial lift and other related equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- A commitment to safety standards and practices in all work activities.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the field of tree care.
- Must not be afraid of heights (10ft-100ft)
- Ability to follow directions and take orders!
