Full-Time | Local Driving | Home Every Night
We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious CDL Driver to operate hooklift roll-off trucks and leachate tanker trucks for local operations. This is a full-time driving position with no overnight travel — drivers are home every night.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating commercial trucks, be comfortable working around construction, industrial, landfill, and waste-handling environments, and take pride in safely operating and maintaining their assigned equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate hooklift roll-off trucks to deliver, pick up, exchange, and relocate roll-off containers.
- Safely load and unload containers using hooklift equipment.
- Operate leachate tanker trucks to transport liquid leachate between collection sites and approved treatment or disposal facilities.
- Connect and disconnect hoses and operate pumps, valves, and related tanker equipment.
- Inspect containers, tanks, hoses, fittings, hooks, chains, hydraulic systems, tires, lights, and other equipment before use.
- Properly secure loads and verify containers are correctly positioned before transport.
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate trip tickets, disposal tickets, manifests, inspection reports, and other required paperwork.
- Follow assigned routes and communicate with dispatch regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, or site conditions.
- Safely maneuver trucks in construction sites, industrial facilities, landfills, transfer stations, treatment facilities, and customer locations.
- Maintain a clean truck and immediately report mechanical or safety concerns.
- Follow all company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations.
- Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers and facility personnel.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license.
- Tanker endorsement required or ability to obtain one.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely operate heavy commercial vehicles.
- Hooklift, roll-off, tanker, dump truck, or similar heavy-truck experience preferred.
- Ability to perform basic equipment inspections and recognize potential mechanical problems.
- Ability to work independently and follow dispatch instructions.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work a consistent full-time schedule.
- Ability to safely climb in and out of trucks, connect hoses, operate valves and equipment, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to pass all DOT and company-required employment qualifications.
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Hooklift roll-off trucks
- Cable roll-off trucks
- Vacuum or liquid tanker trucks
- Leachate hauling
- Waste or recycling operations
- Landfill operations
- Construction or demolition hauling
- Hydraulic truck equipment
Schedule
This is a local driving position.
HOME EVERY NIGHT — NO OVER-THE-ROAD DRIVING OR OVERNIGHT TRAVEL.
Starting and ending times may vary depending on the day's route and workload. Some overtime may be available or required during busy periods.
