Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, heat pumps, furnaces and package units.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and property maintenance needs.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and welding equipment for repairs when necessary.
- Diagnose system failures using mechanical knowledge and field service techniques; repair or replace faulty components promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and system conditions to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Operate a vehicle safely for on-site visits or equipment transport as required.
- Assist with appliance repair tasks related to HVAC/R systems and support property maintenance initiatives.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously during all maintenance procedures to prevent accidents or system failures.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar mechanical role within construction or property maintenance environments.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems including refrigeration, air conditioning, furnaces and heat pumps and mini-splits both residential and light commercial.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and electrical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, welding techniques, boiler operation, and general mechanical repairs.
- Field service experience working directly on-site at commercial or industrial facilities.
- Ability to operate a variety of tools including welding equipment and diagnostic instruments confidently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
