Position Overview
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and highly communicative Tenant Services Coordinator to join our property management team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our residents, ensuring a high level of tenant satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your day-to-day will focus on building strong tenant relationships, managing maintenance dispatch, and overseeing rent collection and payment compliance.
The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can balance empathetic communication with firm, professional enforcement of lease agreements and payment policies.
Key Responsibilities
Tenant Relations & Communication
- Serve as the main point of contact for all resident inquiries, concerns, and day-to-day communications.
- Maintain a high rate of tenant retention by delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues promptly.
- Help new residents, ensuring they understand property rules, portal usage, and payment procedures.
Maintenance Coordination & Dispatch
- Receive and prioritize tenant maintenance requests.
- Coordinate and dispatch vendor services or maintenance personnel to ensure quick resolution of property issues.
- Follow up with tenants to ensure maintenance work was completed satisfactorily.
Rent Collection & Account Management
- Monitor monthly rent payments to ensure timely collection.
- Proactively follow up with residents regarding missed or late payments via phone, email, and formal notices.
- Negotiate, document, and track approved late payment arrangements in accordance with company policy.
- Issue late notices and initiate standard non-payment procedures when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2 years of experience in property management, administrative support, or a high-volume customer service role (experience dealing with accounts receivable or collections is a strong plus).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism, tact, and firmness.
- Organization: Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize urgent maintenance issues alongside daily administrative tasks.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with property management software, digital communication tools, and basic office applications.
- Problem-Solving: A resourceful mindset with the ability to troubleshoot tenant issues calmly and effectively.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
