Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician - I to join our healthcare maintenance team. Duties
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibration on a variety of biomedical equipment, including DME (Durable Medical Equipment).
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues using schematics, technical manuals, and OEM guidelines.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized testing devices to diagnose mechanical and electronic faults.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with the installation and setup of new medical devices in clinical settings.
- Conduct performance checks to ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Support inventory management by tracking parts, tools, and equipment through CMMS systems.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure equipment functionality aligns with operational needs.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge with familiarity in equipment repair and maintenance procedures.
- Experience or training in working with OEM equipment standards and schematics.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order tracking and documentation.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Familiarity with computer hardware components related to medical devices is preferred.
- Understanding of calibration processes for medical equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Previous experience in field service or technical support roles is advantageous but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
