Part-Time Custodian

Responsibilities

• Perform general, routine, custodial duties to include, but not limited to; dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
• Perform routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
• Empty trash receptacles, dispose of trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bag trash for proper disposal.
• Responsibly monitor the security of buildings by ensuring entrances and exits are locked after cleaning is complete.
• Reports needs and concerns to appropriate staff. This may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels.
• A Custodian working within our resident properties may also be responsible for reporting concerns related to resident behavior.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Assist in on-the-job training of new staff on routine procedures.
• Perform cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirements.
• May provide vendors with access to areas for cleaning and may answer basic questions. May report issues with vendors to supervisor.
• May assist or perform snow remediation activities and minor maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, or other similar activities.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma.

Experience: Prior experience in custodial duties is a plus. A Valid Driver’s License and Reliable Transportation Required:

• Must have the ability to understand verbal instructions and follow safety procedures. Must understands how to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
• Must know how to use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Must know how to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures. and Understand written and verbal communications.
• Must be self-motivated.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 22.0 per week
