Affordable Funeral Home is seeking a licensed Funeral Director to join our staff. This position requires a compassionate leadership of funeral directing. The right candidate will be committed to professionalism, regulatory compliance, and providing comfort and care to families during their time of need.
Responsibilities
- Arrange, direct, and oversee funeral and memorial services.
- Meet with families to provide support and guidance in service planning.
- Prepare and file required legal documentation (death certificates, burial permits, etc.)
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and OSHA standards.
- Oversee body/area preparation, equipment, and facilities with professionalism and care.
- Collaborate with clergy, cemeteries, and service providers to ensure seamless services.
Qualifications
- Must hold a Funeral Director license in Louisiana.
- Strong organizational abilities with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, professional demeanor with the ability to support grieving families.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and be on call as required.
