Duties
- Lead and manage the dental team to ensure smooth daily operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination
- Provide comprehensive general dentistry services, including examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and communicate effectively with patients about their oral health needs
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping
- Oversee medical imaging procedures and interpret findings to support diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and current best practices in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties as needed
- Ensure all medical records are complete, accurate, and compliant with legal standards; manage dental fabrication processes when applicable
- Foster a patient-centered culture that emphasizes excellent patient care, comfort, and satisfaction at every visit
Requirements
- Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice as a Managing Dentist
- Proven experience in general dentistry with a focus on pediatric dentistry and oral surgery procedures
- Strong familiarity with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix
- Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and HIPAA compliance
- Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics procedures, and other advanced treatments
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas like pediatric dentistry, endodontics, infection control techniques, and medical imaging
