Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dental Front Desk role based in Redding, CA. The Dental Front Desk team member will greet and check in patients, verify and update patient information, and manage appointment scheduling and confirmations. Responsibilities include answering and directing phone calls, responding to inquiries, collecting payments, and processing insurance information as directed by office procedures. The role also involves maintaining an organized reception area, supporting patient flow between the front desk and clinical team, and handling basic administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and scanning. The Dental Front Desk team member collaborates closely with dentists and support staff to provide a welcoming, efficient, and patient-centered experience.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a patient-focused mindset, including professionalism, empathy, and the ability to handle sensitive situations calmly.
- Effective phone etiquette and receptionist duties experience, including answering multi-line phones, routing calls, scheduling, and greeting visitors.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain basic office policies and appointment details to patients.
- Basic to intermediate computer literacy, including experience with office software and willingness to learn dental practice management systems.
- Previous experience in a dental, medical, or other healthcare front desk or administrative role is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work the scheduled full-time hours on-site in Redding, CA.
