Role Description The Dental Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Commerce GA. This role supports dentists chairside, prepares treatment rooms, and ensures patients are comfortable before, during, and after procedures. Daily responsibilities include assisting with dental procedures, taking x-rays, maintaining accurate patient records, and managing instrument sterilization and operatory cleanliness in accordance with infection control standards. The Dental Assistant also helps with scheduling, patient flow, and clear communication of pre- and post-treatment instructions to promote a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
- Foundational clinical skills in Dental Assisting to support a wide range of procedures and patient needs.
- Knowledge of Dentistry and Oral Care practices to assist with exams, treatments, and patient education.
- Experience with Dental Care delivery, including chairside support, x-rays, and basic laboratory tasks.
- Competence in Sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent on-the-job training preferred.
- Current dental assistant certification and radiography license as required by Georgia state regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced practice, handle multiple tasks, and collaborate within a clinical team.
- Basic computer skills for electronic health records and scheduling systems.
