Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including oral examinations, medical history reviews, and dental imaging procedures using advanced technology such as digital X-rays.
- Deliver a wide range of general dentistry treatments, including dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics procedures.
- Conduct complex procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), and oral surgeries with precision and aseptic technique.
- Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients.
- Ensure meticulous medical documentation and maintain comprehensive medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Apply infection control protocols diligently to safeguard patient health and prevent cross-contamination.
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow efficiency and patient comfort.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice dentistry as an Associate Dentist with current certification in general dentistry.
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment; familiarity with dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards.
- Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures.
- Proficiency in utilizing medical imaging equipment and interpreting results for accurate diagnosis.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing medical documentation and records efficiently.
